Community Event: 2024 L.A. Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California The L.A. Times Festival of Books is an annual public festival celebrating community, literature, culture, and arts. Considered the largest book festival in the U.S., the event has drawn around 150,000 visitors annually.

These visitors include authors, book lovers, exhibitors, celebrities, artists, and musicians. In addition to book exhibits, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books hosts events that include performances and storytelling for children, author signings, and panel discussions. This year, ReadersMagnet (RM) hosted “Becoming Visible” a self-help book written by seven extraordinary women who empower and inspire their readers with their stories of triumph from domestic abuse.

This butterfly principle anthology helps its readers gain strength and direction toward healing and transformation.

“Will encourage women to be refined through their pain and suffering, to achieve, and to emerge rejuvenated. This is their time and season to emerge as Esther’s to bring restorative, healthy healing to women of every tribe, tongue, and generation.”

  • Forwarded by Apostle Jacqueline Quillens.

In this volume, Nurse Candyce Pirtle-Smalls is joined by six other courageous women with the power to enlighten readers: Teisha Levi, LMFT; Ericka Parker; Tamela Gospel; Tracey Frison; Shardae Jones; and Charleszetta Baldwin. These women wrote through their pain. They stood still and fought their challenges as they thrived through the storm that once clouded their lives. These women work together to educate, inspire, and guide their readers through transformative healing.
